About
Back in 2008 when there was a local DJ course in Amsterdam, Rodney Soudain (former DJ “Flex-r”) didn’t hasitate for a second, he had to be there to learn everything about DJ’ing. Rodney, who already started dj’ing with a selfmade set consisting out of a dvd player and a small mixer was always looking for new things to learn as a dj. At the Course he met the talented young producer Ryan Clydesdale (former Producer “Ray Friday”) wich was a life changing moment in there careers. The two started working together and it turned out to be a great succes. They started to produce with an own style and feeling wich resulted in there first release at Ruckerz music with the track “Glow” in a collab with DJ Manimal.
After several bookings in 2010 of DJ Flex-r (from wich the largest and best was “Fris” in the WesterUnie) the two decided to join forces as an duo. Flex-r would handle the DJ bookings, and together they would produce as a team in wich Ryan would take up his part on as the leading producer. After a lot of brainstorming they came up with the catchy name “Sleazy Stereo”. A new boundbreaking Duo was born, with both a great DJ and a great producer this was a bound to be an upcoming dreamteam.
After the new Duo was announced, they started working togheter with Upcoming DJ/Producer Thomas Mendell wich they met 6 months earlyer when they were part of the concept “Noisive”. The three started to produced together wich resulted in the “FeelgoodSwekPack”, an E.P of free bootlegs that covered “Do The Hustle”, “So Much Love To Give” and other all time classics. The pack was quickley picked by several dj and promo sites and the breaktrough of Sleazy Stereo and Thomas Mendell in the scene was a fact.
After the succes of the “FeelgoodSwekPack” it was time for the duo to concentrate on stand alone productions. The first of many stand alone track was born when the duo produced “The Blue Sky”. It eventually resulted in an E.P and was a great succes in the History of the duo. After that many tracks followed, “La Bomba” “Rise & Shine” (in collab with Thomas Mendell) and “Dot.com” (in collab. with Thomas Mendell and Ryan Lelie) were all a new breed of tracks. The biggest succes was made with “Pump it Up” wich reached the 3rd spot in the Electro top 100 and the 5th spot at the All Genres top 100 at dance-tunes.com.
This year Sleazy Stereo is making a great progress as an Upcoming Duo in the DJ scene in Amsterdam, together with Thomas Mendell they are fastley making name and hope to be among the legends some day.
